Welcome to the Rope Share at Bar XIII…as part of Asylum 13…
1pm to 4pm, Saturday, June 24th, 2023. This event has a $13 per person cover charge to defray bar costs for hosting us. You can pay ahead or pay the day of the event…if you want to pay ahead, PayPal or Zelle to: sageofpentacles@gmail.com and mark yourself as paid on the signup sheet.
Many people are intrigued by and want to learn more about rope and how to do rope tying, often referred to as Shibari or Kinbaku or other styles of rope tying, this seminar will help provide some basic and useful information and instruction to those interested in exploring and developing their own skills with rope tying and give tools and tips and ideas on how to build from basic knots and concepts to have greater enjoyment of their own personal rope tying practice and experience.
Dr. DsKnotz will be your host, along with his demo rope bottoms to lead this participation friendly event. We hope to facilitate discussion, ideas and creative inspiration for those who attend. We will cover basic rope knots, upper body and lower body tying and whole body tying applications. We will have discussion on rope safety and consent, as well. Also, feel free to bring your ideas for tying applications and feel free to share them with others or try-out new tying ideas. The aim is to provide both information and constructive feedback, so that we all can learn something and increase our enjoyment of rope tying.
What to bring: 5-6 lengths of rope ideally, between 15 to 50 feet long, rope may be synthetic fiber or natural fiber, as we will go over the benefits and limitations of various fibers and styles of rope for tying applications.
You’ll also want to bring water or a bottle for water, snacks, a blanket or other suitable floor cover for your space at the venue.
You’ll want to dress casually and comfortably, that allows for easy movement and application of rope. Dress code standards must be followed, no exposed nipples or genitals, would prefer minimum swimwear/underwear level of coverage, for everyone’s comfort level that attends.
No alcohol allowed at this event.
Space is limited to 20 persons or rope pairings, a wait list will be maintained and be used in case attendees cancel their reservation on a first added, first offered basis. If we cannot accommodate everyone who is interested, future rope share activities will likely be planned of similar type during the year.
If you RSVP on FB, you must still sign up on the reservation sheet to have a spot on the main list or waitlist.
