Join us on the Saturday before Halloween and let’s do the Time Warp again at Bar XIII!
You’ve seen all sorts of movies, but you’ve never seen anything like The Rocky Horror Picture Show… Rocky Horror is wonderfully weird. It’s fabulously freaky. The story is strange. The songs are super. The cast is completely crazy.
‘What Rocky Horror Does In the Shadows’ is a monster themed Rocky Horror Halloween experience featuring Dark Angels Burlesque. See your favorite Bar XIII performers do Rocky dressed as iconic monsters throughout fiction. Any guesses what characters will pop up?

• What is happening here?
The Rocky Horror Picture Show is a cult classic film from 1975 that gained it’s popularity when it became tradition to run as a Midnight Movie across the country, with audience participation and shadowcasts performing.
• Will people touch me?
Our performers will be moving throughout the room, interacting with the audience. Red wristbands will be available at the door to signify that you’d be more comfortable if the performers leave you alone. In turn we also have a strict rule to not touch the performers.
• What is a shadowcast?
Adding an extra level to the production, we perform Rocky Horror on stage as the film is playing. We literally ‘shadow’ the events taking place on the screen.
• Audience Participation?
Rocky Horror is a famously slow paced film, which leaves plenty of breathing room for you to shout jokes and responses at the film – MST3K style. There are plenty of call back scripts available online, and don’t be afraid to come up with your own.
• What about Prop Bags?
The other side of Audience Participation, at certain points in the film you will have props that you can use or throw into the air. For example, when Brad says “Great Scott!” throw your Toilet Paper up into the air.
• Can I bring my own props?
Unfortunately no. As we are providing a Prop Bag with each entry ticket we ask that you do not bring outside props into the show. Thank you for understanding!
